About Our Payroll Administrator I Role:

As a Payroll Administrator I, you'll be responsible for all tasks involved in processing payroll. The Payroll Administrator I has a range of duties that include collecting timesheets, calculating wages, and ensuring employees receive their pay on time.

Some of the things you will do as a Payroll Administrator I:

  • Collect timesheet data and payroll information.
  • Enter data into payroll and administrative databases and software programs.
  • Calculate wages, benefits, tax deductions, commissions, etc.
  • Prepare and process paychecks and cash deposits.
  • Maintain accurate records of payroll documentation and transactions.
  • Respond to payroll-related inquiries and resolving concerns.
  • Perform account balance and payroll reconciliations.
  • Prepare financial reports for accounting and auditing purposes.
  • Prepare periodic payroll reports for review by management.
  • Monitor and track PTO accrual.
  • Monitor new hire paperwork.
  • Sort, disburse, and mail employee checks.
  • Perform other tasks as deemed necessary.

Some of the Things We’re Looking For:

  • At least one year of experience processing payroll, preferably with experience in processing the payroll of over 200 employees weekly and with job costing
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Microsoft 365 products, utilizing a PC, mobile devices, and company communication tools (e.g., email, internet, chat, etc.)

Wage Range: $22 to $27 Hourly

Position Status: Full-Time

Location: Madera, CA

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with overtime as required

Physical Requirements:

  • The ability to remain in a stationary position, often sitting for prolonged periods.
  • Manual dexterity needed to operate a computer and other office equipment.
  • Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

Work Environment:

  • Primarily based in an office setting with a controlled climate.
